Jackson Browne Receives 2018 Gandhi Peace Award for a Lifetime of Activism

Acceptance speech by singer songwriter Jackson Browne, recipient of the 2018 Gandhi Peace award for his lifetime of activism. Browne, the first performing artist to receive the award, joins previous recipients Eleanor Roosevelt, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Dr. Benjamin Spock, Linus Pauling and Cesar Chavez, among others. The award, given by the New Haven based group Promoting Enduring Peace since 1960, invited Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to introduce Browne in a ceremony recorded at Southern Connecticut State University on September 14, 2018.
