
Melvin Goodman discusses the threat that rising tensions between the Trump administration and the government of Iran could lead to armed conflict between our two nations. He also assesses the veracity of the intelligence reports re: an “Iranian threat” that John Bolton and Trump are using to justify the deployment of the aircraft carrier strike group and bomber task force to the Middle East.
Goodman is an adjunct professor of international relations at Johns Hopkins University. Goodman had a 42-year career in the Central Intelligence Agency, Department of State and at the Department of Defense’s War College. He’s the author of a number of books including, “A Whistleblower at the CIA: The Path of Dissent,” and his latest, “American Carnage: The Wars of Donald Trump.”
