
June 14, 2025, was the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army. Also known as Flag Day, Donald Trump was hoping for a strong military spectacle on his 79th birthday, but instead got a history lesson, as some newswriters saw it.
The true power spectacle was the power of the people — an estimated 5 million who were on the streets at over 2,000 protests rallies and marches across the nation — expressing their opposition and disdain for a wide variety of Trump’s agenda.
